all right but why didn't you do it I  gave you two weeks to do that project

그런데 왜 안 하셨나요 저는 그 프로젝트를 하도록 2주를 주었어요

I don't have any friends or  family to practice with I think  

친구나 가족도 없어요 연습할 사람이 없어서

that's why I'm terrible at the speaking English  

I suppose that's why I can't speak English very  well because I don't have anyone to practice with

영어를 잘 못 하는 것 같아요.

because you said we need to practice every day  and I can't do that I just come here once a week

learning English by yourself can  be a challenge but it is possible

there are ways you can improve your Reading  Writing listening and speaking skills

one good way to actually learn anything  is to set specific goals with a deadline

실제로 무엇이든 배울 수 있는 좋은 방법 중 하나는 마감 기한을 두고 구체적인 목표를 설정하는 것입니다.

if you can't do this then you're only  fooling yourself that's the thing

그렇게 할 수 없다면 당신은 자신을 속이는 것일 뿐입니다.

if you set a specific goals you could be more  determined to meet them with a specific timeline

I'm gonna give you some examples I want to learn  how to write read and deal with all English verbs

you need to set specific goals like I will  earn double my salary the next year for example  

내년에 월급을 두 배로 벌겠다는 구체적인 목표를 설정해야 합니다. 인생에서 원하는 것은 무엇이든

in my opinion that's the best way to get  whatever you want in your life it worked for me  

얻을 수 있는 가장 좋은 방법이라고 생각합니다.

another thing you can do to improve your English  is to make English a part of your everyday life

영어 실력을 향상하기 위해 할 수 있는 또 다른 일은 영어를 일상 생활의 일부로 만드는 것입니다.

you may not live in an English-speaking country  

영어권 국가에 살지 않을 수도

but there are many ways to make  English a part of your everyday life  

있지만, 많은 방법이 있습니다. 영어를 일상 생활의 일부로 만드는 방법

I already gave you many examples of things  you can do to improve your English on your own

like switch the language on  your smartphone to English or  

스마트폰의 언어를 영어로 바꾸거나

paste English labels on things around your house  

집 주변 물건에 영어 라벨을 붙이는 등 스스로 영어 실력을 향상하기 위해 할 수 있는 일에 대한 많은 예를 이미 들었습니다.

listen to English radio stations and watch English  TV channels read English books or entertainment

or write notes in English there are many  ways to do it but I will tell you which

but you live in the same place every day  so no new vocabulary comes into your life

매일 같은 곳에 사시 니까 새로운 단어가 들어오지 않네요

well luckily I have to travel like for two  hours to get to my job I saw a lot of things  

다행히도 해야겠네요 직장에 가는데 2시간 정도 여행을 가는데 출근길에 많은 걸 봤어

on my way to work that's a nice red car a  tall person an old car a dangerous movement

멋진 빨간 차야 키 큰 사람 낡은 차 위험한 움직임 네 무슨 생각인지

yes I know what you're thinking I am  not a dictionary how am I gonna do it

알아 난 사전이 아니야 어때

well you have your phone with you just  take it and search for that word in English

잘 할 거예요. 휴대전화를 가지고 그냥 가져가서 영어로 해당 단어를 검색하세요.

it's not necessary to take notes of that because  you will see it every day that's the best part  

메모할 필요는 없습니다. 매일 볼 수 있기 때문입니다. 그것이 가장 좋은 부분입니다.

so for example one day you search or the  word weird which is similar to Strange  

예를 들어 어느 날 검색하거나 단어를 이상한 것은 Strange와 유사합니다

you see a queer guy getting on the bus  then the next day you see a queer girl

버스에 타는 퀴어 남자를 보고 다음 날 퀴어 소녀를 만나면

so you remember that word and use it in your  everyday life that's a good way to learn new  

그 단어를 기억하고 일상 생활에서 사용하는 것이 새로운 단어를 배우는 좋은 방법이고

vocabulary and you're doing it on your own you  don't need a teacher to learn new vocabulary

그렇게 하고 있습니다. 스스로 새로운 어휘를 배우기 위해 선생님이 필요하지 않습니다.

also a great way is to talk to yourself  in English I do it all the time every day  

또한 좋은 방법은 영어로 혼잣말하는 것입니다. 저는 매일

for example you wake up and say I'm  already up what am I gonna do take a shower

그렇게 합니다. 샤워해

it's very cold I don't feel like taking a  shower right now I think I will do it later yeah  

아주 추워 지금은 샤워하고 싶지 않아 나중에 할 것 같아 그래

ask yourself questions why am I sad is  there something I can do to feel better

내가 왜 슬픈지 스스로에게 물어봐 기분이 나아지도록 할 수 있는 일이 있는지 스스로

answer yourself yes if I drink a cup of  coffee I think I will feel much better

에게 대답해 네 한 잔 마시면 돼 커피 기분이 훨씬 좋아질 것 같아요.

and if you want another person to  practice with then you have internet now

다른 사람이 연습하기를 원한다면 인터넷이 있는 거죠. 이제

there are apps websites social network  many ways to get friends to practice with

앱 웹사이트 소셜 네트워크가 있습니다. 친구가 연습할 수 있는 방법이 여러 가지 있습니다.

and if you don't like the idea you can go to a  tourist place in your area find native speakers

I have many students who say they can't practice  because they don't have friends to do it
