Improve ENGLISH Speaking Skills (How to Learn ENGLISH) English Conversation Practice

hello Roger we have already  finished the class what can I do for

you good morning Mr Smith well  I need to talk to you about

something I've been trying to improve my  English writing skills but I find it so boring

honestly I don't like writing at all  it feels like a chore to me I hate it

sometimes I'm glad you brought  this up many students feel that  

way about writing but it's such an  important skill don't worry though  

there are ways to make writing more  interesting and improve it quickly

let's start with some simple tips that  can make writing less of a burden for

you that would be great Mr Smith I really want  to learn but I need to find a way to make it more

enjoyable absolutely first one of the fastest  ways to improve your writing is to write about  

topics you enjoy if you're passionate about  something whether it's sports music or even video

games write short stories or blog  posts about it this will help you stay

motivated and practice without it feeling too  

serious for example I like  writing about the future

about the future um I never thought  of that I guess writing about soccer  

or my favorite music could be fun but  what if I run out of ideas or get a

stock that's a great question well another  tip is to keep a journal or a diary in

English you know how have to write long entries  every day just a few sentences about what you

did or how you felt that they  can make a big difference over

time this helps you practice expressing  your thoughts naturally and the best thing

is you don't need to worry about making  everything perfect it's your personal space to

experiment I like the idea of a journal  but what if I keep making the same grammar

mistakes I feel embarrassed when I read back  what I wrote and see errors I feel bad when  

that happens I understand and that's very common  to deal with that try reading aloud what you've

written when you read your writing out loud  you can hear if something sounds wrong or

unnatural it's like being your own editor  also don't be afraid to use tools like grammar

Checkers to help identify repeated mistakes  they can be a great Learning Resource believe

me that sounds helpful sometimes I don't  even notice my own mistakes when I just read

silently is there anything else  I can do to improve faster you  

know I wouldn't like it to take too much

time yes try to imitate at good examples  of writing read short stories articles or  

essays in English and pick out sentences  or phrases that you like they can be from

internet you can then practice rewriting  them in your own words this helps you

learn sentence structure and  vocabulary in a natural way like this

conversation it's like learning from the  experts by copying their style but in your own

voice so what I understand with this  is reading a lot is also important

right yes reading and writing go hand in hand  the more you read the better your writing will

be pay attention to how sentences  are formed how ideas are

organized and the types of words used  when you find interesting expressions or

idioms make a note of them and try  using them in your own writing it's very

helpful I see that makes sense but  sometimes I just don't know how to start

writing even if I have an idea seriously I  sometimes feel lost about it what should I do

then well a good technique for that is  called rewriting let me explain it to you

now this means sending a time for five or 10  minutes and writing whatever comes to your

mind without stopping don't worry about  grammar spelling or making sense at

first the goal is to get your thoughts flowing  later you can go back and organize your

ideas free writing is a powerful way to  unlock creativity and make writing feel less

intimidating but once you have your ideas down  the next step is just as important editing and

revising this is where you take your Ro writing  and polish it don't expect your first draft to be

perfect good writing often comes from  rewriting and improving what you started

with h so the thing is I should  spend more time editing my

work exactly but don't do it right  after you finish writing take a short

break then come back with fresh  eyes this way you'll catch more

mistakes and think of better ways to express  your ideas when editing focus on one thing at  

a time start by looking at sentence structure  then move to grammar and and finally check your

spelling and punctuation oh you can  also try practicing with writing

prompts these are short sentences or  questions designed to inspire ideas for

example a prompt might be describe  a time when you felt proud of

yourself this is one of my favorite ways  to practice writing I do it every day to be

honest use the prompts to write short  paragraphs they help train your mind to think

creatively and express yourself in  different ways it works very well believe

me I like that idea I think writing  from prompts could make it more

fun is there a way to make sure my  vocabulary improves as I practice

writing yes one great technique is to  create a word Bank when you come across new

words challenge yourself to use  these new words in your writing this

practice not only improves your vocabulary  but also makes your writing more varied and

interesting that's a great idea Mr Smith I  always see new words but I forget them quickly

quickly and don't forget about feedback  share your writing with friends um

classmates or even online language  communities constructive feedback helps you

understand how you writing is perceived  by others and what areas you can work on

just remember don't be discouraged by  criticism it's a tool for growth remember

that I guess that makes sense sometimes  I'm nervous about what others might

say but you know it's important to learn  from it and the more you share your work

the more confident you'll become lastly try  to write consistently even if it's just for  

15 minutes a day consistency builds habit and  habit leads to improvement over time that's the

truth writing regularly even short pieces  will make a big difference in your skills
