four steps to improve your writing skills.

The first step is brainstorming.

For this, you must write down different ideas,

so you can identify

how much you know about the topic,

and what you will need to research about it

that could be useful.

This is when you give structure to your text.

So, you must choose which area

of the topic you want to focus on,

or which point, from that area, you want to write about.

This is useful for giving the text a logical order.

You can use bullet points, numbers

or mind maps to do it.

Now it is time to start writing.

Having your outline will help you to know which direction

to go when writing.

And with this one,

we arrive at the final step: getting a final check,

for which, you have two options.

Read your text again a couple of days later.

You’ll halve the size,

and you may see mistakes you did not see before.

Ask somebody to read it and give you an opinion.

They make discover mistakes

or lack of cohesion in your text.
