here together once more live on youtube first of all i have to make sure you can hear me

so i will first of all test

my equipment hello mr duncan hello to you hello to everyone can i first of all say that

the weather is not very good today it is a little cold quite chilly in fact but i couldn't

resist coming outside no rain today you'll be pleased to hear that we have no rain today

thank goodness although having said that the ground beneath my feet is very wet very soggy

we have had a lot of rain most of the rain has fallen during the night so during the

past few days we've had a lot of rain hello to the live chat nice to see you here as well

yes i'm out and about

i'm actually about walking around and doing what i do best talking to you on youtube i

don't know why sometimes i can't resist coming on here it's almost like some sort of addiction

oh my goodness so if you can really hear me please say mr duncan we can hear you please

let me know if you can yes i am outside and this is another part of the area in which

i live lots of trees around here there is also a public footpath that you can see behind

me so that's what i was walking along at the start of today's live stream so just down

here we have this muddy path one of many pathways that exists around this area so around here

people can walk quite often in groups so quite often we will get lots and lots of people

walking around here in large groups we get walking groups coming through here so i would

say that well i think it's fair to say that one of the most popular pest times around

here in shropshire which is where i am is walking people love walking around here and

i suppose one of the reasons why is because people love walking

it is very good for your health apparently so i am surrounded by all sorts of trees there

are lime trees in fact there are quite a few lime trees around here lots of small trees

that have been cut back over the years so this particular track has been used by locals

for many many years in fact this is one of the main routes from where i live into the

town centre of much wenlock a lot of people ask mr duncan can you please show us the way

that you normally walk when you go into town so this is part of that walk i will often

come through here when i'm going into town or maybe coming back from town so this is

a very often used place

see we are now in a very unusual place as i mentioned we've have we've had a lot of

rain as well we have it's very muddy but i've got my special walking boots running boots

on mr duncan that grip in any conditions i love your running shoes they are very colourful

no no one no one can see them you go over there and show us so there are mysteries well

we can see you but not hear you now look at that so mr steve is wearing some lovely bright

turquoise running shoes they look very trendy they've got sort of uh studs underneath uh

that grip into the mud so i'm able to run without slipping everywhere i'll tell you

something i could do with a pair of those as well i should do this up if i were you

yes uh you'll get your death of cold as i say here in the uk i feel all right actually

i'll be honest i feel quite warm now it's suddenly hit you i'm wearing lots of layers

today well i'm going back mr duncan because i've got to get some dinner and then i've

got to go back to work yes i've taken my hours break so mr steve at the moment just in case

mr steve's boss is watching mr steve is having his dinner break legitimate dinner break his

lunch he's going back home now and then he will be back hard at work in front of the

computer screen yes i've been there all morning all morning so see you all on sunday and i'll

see you later and you've got a cup of tea you can show us some of your amazing running

style as well if you want well i usually walk on this last bit back oh because but i will

just for you just for you and the viewers i will do some running yes and i usually walk

because you've got to sort of cool down you can't just run straight to your house and

go in it's bad for you okay then but i will just just to show you try not to fall over

go wrong you see it's not a very wet day we're not having any rain today although it does

feel very autumnal i'll glad i'll be the first person to say that it is cold damp but fortunately

to allow me to walk around a bit more freely you see mr duncan sometimes when you are far

away the volume or the sound level will reduce it might do yes there might be some some difference

in the sound as i i walk away from the camera but hopefully you can hear me clear isabelle

from you in a video when you got rid of your old socks something that is worn out might

be old something that is no longer useful can be described as worn out so for those

wondering about my glove so this hole here will actually help me to touch the screen

on my phone you see so when i'm wearing my gloves i can't operate the phone because this

is touch sensitive you see touch sensitive so what i have to do i have to cut a hole

in my glove there you see me and then i can operate my phone like this so i can use it

easily for example i can see i can see belarusia who is mentioning my height mr duncan you

are so tall but you look so small there in the distance near all of those tall trees

yes i am surrounded by lots of trees today i don't know how long i'll be on for because

it is a little chilly today i will be honest with you it is rather chilly to say the least

run so quite often at lunchtime steve will go for a little run and then he goes back

home and has some lunch and then he carries on with his work so that's what he's doing

yes it does look a little bit like that some people believe that around here in this particular

area some people believe that there is a beast that lurks around it's true i'm not joking

there are some people who believe that there is a beast that walks around at night they

believe that at night there is a monster that walks about stalking right here in these woods

can you believe it anyway i probably shouldn't say that because there aren't many people

around here today i will be honest with you there are not many people around here today

exchange actually i am very aware that my nose is starting to run because it's cold

went out for his run earlier and then steve says i might see you later but sometimes mr

steve will run in a certain direction he will go to a certain place and then come back home

so i wasn't sure if i was going to see mr steve or not but yes we did we managed to

see mr steve it was a very nice prize it is very muddy here at the moment i can't begin

to tell you how how dangerous it is walking around here so right right behind me the path

behind me is really quite treacherous ooh i like that word treacherous so if you look

behind me you can see that the path that goes off into the distance and also it was the

path that mr steve was running along earlier along there

it's quite muddy

can you hear the pheasant there is a pheasant calling in the distance calling my name maybe

reason is because during the winter months the daylight is very less or less than it

normally is so we have long days with lots of sunlight during the summer but during the

winter months we have very little daylight so the days are much shorter so that is why

exercise in the afternoon as well i'm just trying to find my handkerchief ah there it

here in england it's around five degrees although to be honest with you it does feel colder

than that if i was honest with you it does feel much colder than five degrees

how can i improve my speaking asks assad well there are many ways to improve your speaking

one of the best ways is to listen and repeat so if you hear someone talking or if you hear

someone speaking in english sometimes it is nice to repeat what they say another way of

course is to listen to your own voice so i know nowadays many people have one of these

wonderful devices so a great way to improve your spoken english is to actually listen

to your own voice so never be afraid to record your voice hello my name is mr duncan and

i'm practicing my english never be afraid to do that and by listening to your own voice

you can judge how well or how good your english learning is i think so so yes you can also

you can also look at yourself in the mirror as well so you can look in the mirror and

you can watch yourself speaking english so quite often with people who are learning english

especially learning to speak english quite often it is difficult to speak because of

a lack of confidence you see so one of the the secrets to learning english and one of

the secrets to actually speaking english is to have confidence sometimes you might feel

a little afraid or worried to actually use english

so there are many ways of improving your english

with people who are learning english is quite often you have no one to practice with so

that is one of the reasons why the internet is such a wonderful thing because it gives

you a chance to communicate with other people who you might not have the chance normally

uk i'm not sure if i will be able to see it here because we are much further south you

see so quite often the northern lights are more visible in the north of england and also

scotland so the further north you are the more chances there are of you spotting the

northern lights oh and also the weather forecast is for cloud tonight so i have a feeling i'm

not going to be able to see the northern lights the aurora aurora borealis i love that name

the best way to learn english is to be consist in your work yes so some people do start

to learn english they begin learning english but then they give up you see so one of the

real secrets of success and i suppose you could say this about anything really one of

the big big secrets of any success in life is to keep doing it to be consistent to keep

doing it not to stop so don't give up even if things seem too difficult even if things

seem too hard maybe you you have some doubts about your ability don't give up keep going

there are many ways of finding other people to talk to maybe people in your own area you

see so maybe you can put a notice or a sign somewhere asking if there are other people

in your area who want to learn english with you you see so there are many ways of creating

your own groups they can be virtual on the internet or perhaps in real life

okay it's not been great all the time it's been tough i've had problems in my life i've

had tragedies in my life things sometimes go wrong but you have to keep going you really
