Talk About Anything in English - Easy Method | ENGLISH FLUENCY 5Ws Episode 4

Welcome to part four of our series.

In this series, I've been helping you learn a simple method that will take your

English to the next level and finally help you start speaking English fluently.

Now in this part of the series, I am going to help you see how the simple

method, the five W's method, who, what, when, where, and why can actually help

you speak English fluently about any.

Absolutely any topic.

Are you ready?

Well then let's jump right in.

Alright, so any topic in English now, just like the previous episodes in our series,

we are going to be focusing on six days.

All right, six days, so day 19, all the way down to day 24.

Alright, so we are going to day number 19.

And day number 19 is all about talking about various topics using the five Ws.

So let's go to day 19 again talking about various topics.

So on day 19, what we're going to be doing is.

Focusing on listing out multiple topics.

Again, as an English learner, you're going to be in many different situations,

situations where topics will be discussed that maybe you're familiar

with or maybe you're not familiar with.

But this five W's method will help you speak English fluently about any topic.

So you won't be nervous, you won't be frustrated.

So what you'll see is on day 19, we have a list of topics for each

and every letter of the alphabet.

For example, for the letter A, we have.

Questions about art For the letter B, we have questions about books,

letter C, questions about careers.

You'll see again for each letter we have a topic, so when we go again

to day 19, the second page you'll see on the left we have each letter.

Then in the second column, we have topics.

That start with that letter.

Then in the third column, again, all of this is organized for you to help

you see and understand that you can use this method, the five W's method, to

answer any question about any topic.

So for the letter A, again, we have art, and the question is,

who is your favorite painter?

Ooh.

If you watched the last episode of this, of this series, you'll

know, ah, this question is focused on which of the five Ws.

Yes.

Who is your favorite painter?

Right?

And we talked about last time, once you recognize which of the five Ws

is the focus of the question, you'll know how to answer the question.

Using that WI got excited because this is exactly what happened in our last lesson.

So for letter B. What's the topic?

Books and the question, what is your favorite book?

Alright, we're focused on what in this question.

All right, so I wanna read the other questions very quickly

for four of the letters, four of the topics we have career for C.

Question, what kind of job do you do for the letter D?

We have dreams.

The question, what was your dream when you were a child?

For letter E, we have education.

Question, why is education important?

And for letter F, we have food.

What is your favorite type of food to eat?

Again, you'll see that we have all of these topics, and for each

topic we have selected a question.

Now, what is the goal?

The goal again, is to help you answer any question about any topic.

Using the five W's.

Who, what, when, where, and why now, just like in our last

lesson, I remem, I explained to you, I'm leaving this in there.

Whenever there's a a blunder, I leave it in.

I explained to you that when you know what the foundation of a

person's question is, you'll also know how to add that to your answer.

So we have these questions.

Relating to these topics, the goal is to help you answer the

questions using the five Ws.

Now you're gonna learn how to use each of the five Ws in

your response to the question.

So let's move now to day number 20.

All right.

Day 20 is gonna focus on topics A through F. Now, again, for this live or this.

Recorded lesson.

I want to focus on a few of them.

And again, you can continue studying along.

All right, so A to F, again, we have art, we have books, careers,

dreams, education, and Food.

And we have the questions connected to each of these topics.

So let's start with.

The first topic and the first question, man, I love this method.

All right, here we go.

Art the question, who is your favorite painter?

Now, from the last lesson in this series, we recognize that we're focusing on

the who, but we also wanna answer each of the five Ws within our response.

So check out the response.

I'm gonna actually make it a little bit bigger for you.

Here's the response currently.

My favorite painter is an American painter named Chuck Close because he paints with

creativity, great detail and passion.

I answered the question.

What's his name?

Chuck Close.

What's interesting though, I recognize what they wanted to know.

Ah, you wanna know who I like.

But we also included each of the five Ws in the response.

Who?

Let's go recognize it right here.

Let's go see Chuck Close.

Very true.

I love Chuck.

Close.

What?

What does he do?

Or what is it?

He's my favorite painter.

Right when?

Currently right there where?

He is an American.

You see how I'm adding the information, right?

Why he paints with creativity, great detail and passion, even though

I recognized which of the five Ws is the center or was the center

of the question, I was able to add the other details to answer the

other five other Ws in my response.

You can do the same, so check out the second question again.

We're looking at different topics based on the letters of the alphabet.

We have books the question, what is your favorite book?

What's my response?

We're talking about my favorite book.

Here's my response.

I enjoy reading love stories.

So my favorite book is The 1991 American Bestseller,

redeeming Love by Francine River.

What's my favorite book?

Redeeming Love.

But again, I am answering each of the five Ws in my response.

Hey, Tiffani, what's your favorite book?

Oh, I enjoy reading love stories.

So my favorite book is The 1991 American Bestseller, redeeming

Love by Francine Rivers, who.

Francine Rivers.

What my favorite book when?

1991, where?

American American Bestseller.

Why?

I enjoy reading love stories.

You see the question is about a topic.

The topic is books and my response includes each of the five Ws.

Let's check out another one.

The career question.

What kind of job do you do?

Remember, you want to include each of the five Ws in your response.

As we're moving through this series, as we've moved through the series, you've

seen the progression, understanding how to go from short to longer sentences,

understanding how to describe images, understanding how to recognize.

Which of the Ws are at the, is at the foundation of a question now

being able to answer any question on any topic using the five Ws.

So my answer to the question, what kind of job do you do since 2010?

I have enjoyed working as a computer engineer for a design firm in my city.

Because my friend is the CEO.

What happened in my response?

I answered each and every one of the five Ws.

You see what's happening, right?

The power of the five Ws.

So day 20.

Now moving to day 21, again, we're looking at just a few of the

topics, and you can always go back and go over the remaining topic.

But for day 21, we have topics G through L.

So I want us to focus on two of the topics from day 21.

We're gonna do G Games and we're gonna do K karaoke.

So G, the question is, what types of games do you play at parties and k.

Have you ever been to a karaoke room?

Alright, so now we have these questions, G and K, and we wanna make sure we're

able to answer the question using each of the five Ws, the power of the five Ws.

Here's the first question again, what types of games do you play at parties?

Now let's check out the response and see if it includes each of the five W's.

Here we go.

I usually play acting games when I go to parties with my friends

because we love those types of games.

Now, in this response, do we see each of the five Ws who I what

usually play acting games when?

When I go to parties, where parties also, we have with my friends for the hoop.

Why we love those types of games.

Each of the five W's can be found in this response.

It doesn't matter what the topic is.

You can use each of the five W's to answer the question once you under

understand the five W's method.

It will transform your English and help you speak English more fluently.

So now what about the K?

We have karaoke.

So here's the question.

Have you ever been to a karaoke room?

My answer, absolutely yes.

I love to sing.

Alright, so how are we gonna answer this question using the five Ws?

Have you ever been to a karaoke room?

Here's the answer.

When I was in university, some friends and I went to a karaoke

room near our university to sing songs all throughout the night.

Do we have each of the five Ws?

Do we have the who?

Yes.

I and some of my friends.

Some friends, and I, let's actually underline this part right here.

Some friends and I what went to a karaoke room where near our university.

Why to sing songs all throughout the night when, when I was in university.

All right, so you see each of the five Ws can be found in our

response no matter what the topic.

You can recognize how to include each of the five Ws in your response.

Day 22.

Now again, we're just looking at a few from each day, and you can

look at the other examples when you have your own copy of the ebook.

So day 22, now we have topics M through S. It doesn't matter what the topic is, M

through S this time, let's choose money.

And restaurant.

Again, these represent the topics based on the letters.

All right, so what's the question for money We have?

What is the most amount of money you have spent in one day for restaurant we

have, do you have a favorite restaurant?

Now, what is our goal?

Remember, we want to make sure we can answer the question.

Understanding what the question is, and now we're going to include each

of the five Ws in our response.

Who, what, when, where, and why.

We're gonna include each of them in our response along with the main one

that is connected to the question.

All right, so now.

Looking at the first question, what is the most amount of

money you have spent in one day?

Check out this response.

In 2008, I spent $8,000 on a new car that I bought from a car dealership near

my office because I needed a new one.

Can't you imagine the situation?

As I was reading the answer, it was 2008.

Okay?

The car was $8,000.

It was new, okay?

It was a car dealership near my office.

I needed a new one.

I'm painting a picture.

When I'm giving this response, how am I able to paint the picture?

Because in my response, you can recognize each of the five Ws.

The same is true for our other question about the restaurant for the

R, do you have a favorite restaurant?

Here's my response.

My favorite restaurant to go to after work.

Is the Italian restaurant near my office because the food is amazing.

In this response, each of the five W's can be found.

Who are we talking about?

Me?

My favorite restaurant?

What?

Favorite restaurant.

When after work.

Where the Italian restaurant near my office, why the food is amazing

no matter what the topic is.

You can respond to the question using the five Ws.

Day 23, we have even more topics again.

Based on the alphabet topics T through Z. Remember, what we're

doing is we're showing to you, we're helping you see that no matter what

the topic is, you can respond to a question using the yes, the five Ws.

So let's pick one of the topics for day 23, because I want to actually

continue on to the next section and to give you more information.

Let's say vacation for V. The question is, when was your best vacation?

All right, so we have a question.

When was your best vacation?

Check out this response.

My best vacation was in 2014.

When I traveled to an island with my friend for our summer vacation.

In this response we see each of the five Ws.

What my best vacation When?

In 2014, where traveled to an island.

Who?

With my friend.

Why?

Four hour summer vacation, you can use the five Ws to respond

to any question on any topic.

So day 23, we had topics T through Z. Now when you get to day 24, the

review day, I like this review day.

Why?

Because it is a very comprehensive review day.

You'll see that it includes.

Each of the letters of the alphabet, which means you have 26 different topics

and 26 different questions, and these questions include answers that all,

all composed or comprise the five Ws.

So you can see again how to answer any question using the five Ws.

Now, day 25 to day 30, I quickly want to explain to you that this

section, section five, again, we're not gonna go over it here.

This is a very important section because it will help you understand

how to put these lessons into practice.

For example, there are four specific methods, and I wanna wrap

up our lesson with these methods.

There are four methods that will help you put everything you learn

in this series to practice using a spreadsheet, using a series of images,

using various English articles, and using an English journal on Mondays.

Use a spreadsheet on Tuesdays.

Use images on Wednesdays.

You can find articles.

And then on Thursdays you can use an English journal.

You can master this method.

The five W's method is the method that will help you speak English fluently.

You know what time it is?

It's story time.

Eh, eh, eh, I said it's story time.

Alright.

You know what?

I had a different story, but I'm gonna change it because we talked

about karaoke that topic and all of a sudden I wanted to sing a song.

So this happened.

True story last week.

No, actually it happened three days ago.

So this week I was.

I'm sitting down and I was working in my office and I was like zoned in.

I was focused and all of a sudden I started thinking about my parents.

My parents are amazing, and my mom is turning 70 this year.

My dad already turned 70 at the end of last year, and I'm just thinking about

all that they sacrificed for my sister and I, everything they did and how supportive

they are when things happen in our lives.

Even now, my parents are the first ones there to talk to us, to pray for us.

They are just amazing.

And so in the midst of me working, I started thinking about them

and I said, you know what?

I'm gonna call them and bless them, and I'm gonna bless them with the song.

Let me give you some backstory.

So when my sister and I were younger, my sister's five years older than

me, my sister would randomly wake me up early in the morning and

say, TIFF, I need you to come.

And I'm like, what's going on?

She's like, I got a song.

She would've a rap or a song and she would need me to be the rhythm, the beat maker.

I could beatbox or I could hit, you know, I play the beats on like

either my parents' bed or the wall.

I was like, okay.

So we would but burst into their room in the morning and we'd just sing a

song or she'd rap and I'd have the beat.

So this is a normal practice that's been going on for over 40 years in my family.

So I said, I'm gonna call my parents.

And I'm gonna sing them a song.

So I got my phone and I called them and it's the middle of the

day so they know that I'm working.

So they're like, Hey, you okay?

Everything good?

And I said, my mom picked up.

I said, mommy, I need you to get Daddy on the phone too.

She said, okay, okay.

She brings my daddy to the phone.

She said, Hey, baby girl.

I said, Hey, daddy.

I said, all right.

I, I, I called to tell you all something.

They said, okay, just for effect, right?

I had to make sure you know, the drama.

And I said,

I just called to say, I love you.

I just called to say how much I care,

and I paused.

My dad, I said, now I don't know if y'all want the short

version or the extended version.

My dad said, well, your mom is already dancing, so apparently

she wants the extended version.

And I could just hear through the phone the big smiles that were on their faces.

And this is something that was simple, something small, a moment in the day.

That was unexpected, but a moment that will hopefully be a memory that

when they're having a rough day, when something is going on that doesn't

make them happy, when they think about the moment that their daughter

called them just to say, I love you.

It'll put a smile on their faces.

So I don't know who you love or who makes you happy, but today, right now,

I want you to contact that person.

Either call them, send them a message, it can be a text or a voice message, and just

let them know how much they mean to you.

It's always nice to let someone know you care about them.
