How to give opinions in English? Great ways to express (yourself) in English

giving an opinion. Giving your opinions is an important part of many

conversations. An opinion is what you think about something. These phrases are

polite ways of giving our opinions. Here are three ways you can express your

opinion. Personally, I think. Personally, I think. This is an informal way to express

your opinion that you can use with friends or people you know. If you ask me.

If you ask me. This is a polite phrase that can be used in any situation. As far

as I'm concerned. As far as I'm concerned is another polite phrase that can be

used in any situation. Here are some of the examples: personally, I think winter

is better than summer. If you ask me Danny is a great teacher. As far as I'm

concerned, I don't want to eat unhealthy food. Okay let's move on to the next

phrases we will learn today. Next, we will be learning about how to ask for

somebody else's opinion. This is actually important to do before you state your

own. If you want to know somebody else's

opinion you can ask: what do you think of...? What do you think of or what do you

think about? What do you think about this? Is a general phrase for asking an

opinion. You can use this phrase both formally and informally. How do you feel

about...? How do you feel about this? is a more informal phrase you can use with

your friends. What's your opinion of...? What's your opinion of this...? is a general

phrase for asking an opinion both formally and informally.

For example, what do you think of this food? How do you feel about going to see

a movie? What's your opinion of this book? The next phrases we will learn today will

help you talk about things you like. These are some natural sounding phrases

to help you sound more like a native speaker. I love... I love... in English you can

use the word "love" to talk about anything you like very much. I can't get enough of...

I can't get enough of... this is a very enthusiastic expression. It is also

informal and you can use it with your friends. I'm really into... I'm really into...

This is also enthusiastic and informal. For example:

I love dogs. I can't get enough of this ice cream. I'm really into rock music. We

should also learn some phrases to help you talk about things you dislike. Here

are some great ways to express dislike. I don't really like... I don't really like...

This is a neutral and polite phrase. You can use at any time. Something is not my

thing... Something is not my thing... or something is not my style.

Something is not my style... this is a polite way to say that you don't like

something. I'm not into... I'm not into... this is a way of saying you don't like

something, but you might like something similar. For example: I don't really like

spicy food. Jazz music is not my thing. I'm not into basketball. Finally we will

learn about phrases you can use when you react to something another person said.

These phrases are natural ways to express surprise. Really? or ㅉhy? ㅉe say

these phrases with a rising voice. ㅁre you serious? or Seriously?

You can say this when you don't believe something the other person said. Okay
