we're here again because the students keep  asking for more advanced phrases in English

and that's something great because these  phrases will help you speak Advanced English

exactly so how about we start with  this new Advanced vocabulary list

sure I know many students know how  to say good luck but they also say  

good luck next time it is not bad but  it's better to say better luck next time

you should say this after someone fails  and you hope they do better next time

another expression is just my luck say this  after someone fails and you hope they do  

better next time or instead of saying lucky  you you can say that was a stroke of luck

it means a sudden event of good luck  or some people have all the luck

say this when someone else is constantly  lucky and you feel like you're not lucky

I know that not everything is about having good  luck that's why if you are having a long period  

of bad luck you can say is down on his luck it  means he's having a long period of difficulty

when there is something good that could  have happened but it didn't happen

you can say no such luck or what road and lock

now I will teach you some phrases for  worries and relief they are really helpful

a basic praise could be I'm scared that but  you can better say I can't help thinking that  

use this for thoughts that you try to  avoid but they keep coming into your mind

like when it is very late and your brother  or sister doesn't arrive home God willing not

or maybe when you're so worried about something  that you can't sleep there is a phrase you can use

it's been keeping me up at night it happened  to me once when I had a difficult exam

what if is one of the most common  phrases in this case to express worry

and what if he had an accident what  if the exam is very difficult tomorrow

now to express relief we have some phrases  like view thank godness what a relief  

or you had me worried for a moment or  you have no idea what a relive it is  

or if you're looking for a more advanced phrase  then you can say that's a huge lot of my mind

something really important is when you talk  about the future that's what we will see now

for example if you don't know when an event  will happen you can say it'll happen any day now  

it is used when you think something will happen  in the near future or it's right around the corner  

for example the spring is next week  it's right around the corner you get it

when you want to indicate how things will be  in the future you say it's a sign Taste of  

things to come for example when kavit appeared we  watched it on the news in other countries first

but with that adapt it was a sign Taste  of things to come I hope you understand

now when you want to say that you're excited about  a future event you can't wait for it to happen

then you can say I'm counting  down the days until for example

my favorite band will come next year to my country  I'm counting down the days until it happens

or maybe you're counting down the days until we  upload a new video with Advanced English phrases

sooner or later I'm sure you've heard  this phrase before what does it mean

well you use it when you  want to say that something  

will definitely happen sometime in the future

for example if you keep practicing your  English sooner or later you will improve it

now if you want to say I'll do something sometime  in the future but I don't know exactly when

then you can say I'll get around to it or  to say you will do something immediately

you can say I'll do it right  away or I'll get right on it

or if you want to say in the future we will  know if something is true false or good or bad

we can say time will tell let  me give you an example of this

when someone gets married people ask hey  do you think they will be happy together

then you can answer I don't know  time will tell my dear friend

okay we all know how to say I'm sure  but that's basic English you better say  

I'm absolutely sure I'm positive dad for  example I'm positive that I will win the prize  

or I have not doubt that I have no doubt  that you will speak English very well

this is a phrase that I usually  use I am a hundred percent certain

you use it when you want to say you're totally  sure about something or I'm convinced that  

on the other hand if you want to say you're  not sure about something then you can say

I seriously doubt it probably not it's not  very likely there is not much chance of that  

I'd be very surprised if that  happened that's a good one or

I couldn't Bet On It it means here's  a small chance it could happen  

but it probably won't happen

oh look at the time I really have to  go to my English class I'm really sorry

that's okay teacher we understand  but we need more advanced races
