Improve English Speaking Skills (Questions about learning English) English Conversation Practice

English excellent today we have a special program  the students have many questions about learning  

English and they wrote some questions  in the comments today we'll read those

questions oh I think that's great I will be  happy to answer their questions let's start  

then all right we have one here from Fernando do  you have any ideas to improve my speaking skills  

oh we start from a very important question  well Fernando there are many ways to improve  

your speaking skills the most common is to  find someone to practice your English with  

it can be a conversation partner you can  also try making friends online or asking  

people who also want to improve their  English now if you can't find someone  

to practice English with you can also  talk to yourself in English that is  

a great way to improve your English  I personally have tried that and it

works next question is from Agatha from London  I speak English but at an intermediate level  

I feel frustrated because I can't move  to advanced level she says what can I

do oh that usually happens it's difficult  for a student to become an advanced English

speaker the first thing you have to do is identify  that skill you need to work on that weak area of  

your English maybe your grammar is terrible or  your speaking is not good enough probably you're

writing or maybe your listening skills  are not good after you identify your

weakness you have to make a study plan to improve  that area search materials which can help you with  

that practice every day or seek help why why am I  telling you this because everyone wants to improve  

their English and they say I want to improve  my English but it's not as simple as that you

know English is a language and there are many  areas to dominate you need to focus on one of them

first and that's the weakest so please do it  don't just want to improve your English seek  

to improve each aspect of the English language  at a time and start with the one that gives you

problems very good advice now we  have a question from Santiago from

Philippines he says what can I do if  I can't find find the right word in

English when English is not your first language  it is normal to get nervous and have the fear  

of not finding the right word getting stuck in the  middle of a sentence is more normal than you might

think especially when you are in front  of your manager or other native English

speakers to avoid this kind of situation  don't overthink or stress our grammar

mistakes learn vocabulary in chunks blocks  and learn to paraphrase take your time and

relax repeat the beginning of the sentence  or use other words like I'll start again

in sorry I meant to say that let me rephrase  that actually what I meant to say was

that it's normal to forget some words  or simply don't know the word Find

synonyms very good now we have a  question from Bianca from Italy she

says how can I improve my listening skills she  says she tries but can't improve that skill  

listening skills or right improving your English  listening skills takes time but the good news is  

that you can do it while commuting to work  taking a shower or doing the dishes at home

how well it's very simple listen to  podcast or Tad talks about topics you  

find interesting finding inspiring ons is key  to enjoy in this activity and wanting to keep

listening some podcast even offer the transcript  which you can read at the same time as you listen  

or copy some phrases you like or even  write down how the speaker pronounces the

words also you can use these videos on YouTube  like this one to improve your listening

skills well that's true many people  tell us they listen to our videos while  

they are doing other things like cooking  driving cleaning working or even taking a

shower okay next question this  is from Angelina from France she

says how can I write better emails in English she  works in an office and she always sends emails  

one of the concerns of many of our Learners  is that they are scared of making mistakes in  

their emails and this results in them taking too  long to write them it happens a lot believe me  

the most important thing when writing emails is  to have a clear goal the first step is to think  

about what the topic of your email is and pick  just one topic per email to maximum this will  

keep both you and your reader focused  and increase the effectiveness of your

emails then you need a good structure  of your email I will give you one

example first reading and a friendly opening  like hi Anderson I hope you are well then you  

need to write the reason of your email  I am writing to you with regards to your

presentation you can also offer help  if you have any questions please let me

know then a close in line  looking forward to seeing your
