Stephani asks, "How do you pronounce the verb "READ" in the present, the past, and

the future ... because this word "R-E-A-D" has different pronunciations depending on

what tense or what time you're talking about. So, Stephani, awesome question, I think a

lot of people can benefit from this so I would love to answer it in this English tip. Alright,

so, first of all we have to approach pronunciation in English with an open mind because we know

with this word as an example that we can have the same letters, the same spelling for many

different words, and the words will be pronounced differently. Oh my gosh! It makes no sense.

English is crazy, but actually, you know when you study the history of English, it starts

making more sense, because you learn that English came from different roots and we have

a lot of different influences. Just like in America, it's a melting pot of people from

all over the world, and the English language is like that too. So, it's a really interesting

language to study, to learn, and to be able to speak with confidence. So, Stephani, the

answer to your question is in the present tense you want to say, "I read", so the sound
