Let's talk about number one. Let me just set this over here

Focus on what you can do. I know you're learning. I know that you make mistakes, but that's okay

Let's say that you took a test and you got

95 questions right, but you got five questions wrong, so

why are you focusing on the five things that you got wrong instead of focusing on the

95 things that you got right the

overwhelming majority of things that you got right now by focusing on what you can do you are building your confidence and

You're thinking positively now of course. It's good to fix your mistakes

so

If you got five questions wrong you can take a look at why you might have gotten them wrong and how to improve them however

don't focus on your missed because that will actually make you feel nervous and afraid and hesitant to

Speak English because it's important to make mistakes actually and I'm going to talk about that in

Mantra, what is a Mantra a Mantra is like a saying or a phrase that you can say quickly and

easily you can repeat it to yourself, and it's kind of your echoes or your

Mission statement your value statement for learning English or for learning anything

So for example my mantra is every day. I'm getting

better and better

little by little or it could be I'm doing my best, and I can see improvements every day or

Something similar where it's focused on the positive and a good effort that you are putting into your English studies

Okay, excellent number three spend time with

Motivated people with positive people with happy people if you're spending your time

Watching go natural English videos. That's a great start look you are the average of the five people

or influences that you spend the most time with so it's going to be more helpful to you if

They help you to stay motivated if they encourage you to continue learning and to be

Positive and happy in your life

So try not to let people get you down or be negative influences in your life try to

Minimize time with people who are always complaining?

Or saying negative things or showing that they don't believe in you

Accept and learn from your mistakes mistakes are not

A bad thing I mean sure if you're taking an important, test you don't want to make too many mistakes

but when you're practicing

And when you're learning when you're developing your language skills mistakes are awesome mistakes are necessary

Mistakes help you to understand where you can improve and it's necessary to

Speak and to make mistakes because that's how we learn what's right, and what's wrong

okay, number five it's

Simple, maybe but it's actually not as simple as it seems because we often have a lot of negative self-talk

So I want you to believe that you can become fluent in English

Unfortunately, I hear a lot of English learners

saying things negative talk about themselves like oh, I'm too old to learn not true or

Oh, I'm so dumb not true or uh my English isn't very good

Not true, and even if your english isn't very good

I want you to believe that you can speak English well, so I don't ever want to hear you say

I'm never going to become fluent in English. It's not true

I believe in you, and you need to believe in you too. So these were five steps for you to develop a positive
