want to give you an English study plan a 20-minute  daily routine you can follow to improve your  

speaking skills in English to improve your fluency  and become more advanced talking about English

let's talk about your 20-minute language learning  routine so you have your 20 minutes let's break it  

down the first seven minutes should be dedicated  to reading just choose something you like a book  

you really love or a newspaper article it would  be even better if you have an audiobook version so  

that you can follow along you can listen and also  repeat out loud because this way you will be also  

improving your speaking skills in English usually  all of the narrators are native speakers and it's  

just so important to listen to the way native  speakers speak English if you want to improve  

your pronunciation so let me show you guys how  I usually read in English by reading a couple of  

sentences from the book The Big Friendly Giant  Sophie couldn't sleep a brilliant Moonbeam was  

slanting through a gap in the curtains it was  shining right under her pillow so what if you  

don't know the words mood beam and to slant you  can obviously Google them so a move beam is a ray  

of light that comes from the Moon and a bonus  question for you guys how would you would you  

rate of light that comes from the sun three two  one sound beam yep to slant means to lean in a  

diagonal direction or to cause something to slope  for example rays of sunlight slanted down on her  

the second thing you do is you should listen to  a podcast or watch a video for seven minutes also  

depending on your level you might choose a podcast  for English Learners or for native speakers again  

guys the most important thing is you have to like  it you have to enjoy studying English the same  

thing applies to the video you want to watch again  choose something you enjoy and it's even better  

if you're going to be using subtitles there  is nothing wrong in using subtitles guys they  

will help you see all the words all the phrases  that people are using and also this way you'll  

be able to practice shadowing so basically the  way it works is you pause the video and then you  

repeat after the speaker talking about podcasts  though there is one I really like it's called six  

minute English from the BBC and just from the  name you can already tell that each episode is  

only six minutes long so let me open this episode  about English for dating online hello this is six  

minutes English from BBC learning English I'm  Sam and I'm Roy nowadays many people use online  

dating apps to find love and romance this involves  writing a dating profile as you can see there are  

podcasts is really structured in a way to help you  learn English with all of the questions vocabulary  

and even a transcript I love the fact that it's  completely free it's easy to follow along and  

most people teaching there either have a very  good level in English or are native speakers  

so basically after you've spent seven minutes  listening to your favorite podcast or watching  

a YouTube video now we go to step number three  our final step so our final step lasts for six  

minutes and it's all about going through all the  new vocabulary and creating example sentences so  

guys here's the thing I know that a lot of people  don't really like learning new words and to be  

completely honest it doesn't always even work what  I have found works for me is just practicing the  

language as much as I can exposing myself to the  language as much as I can it just means learning  

the language every day and then slowly but surely  you will be learning all of this new vocabulary  

however I do recommend creating example sentences  and then voicing them out loud the reason why I  

like this technique is because it forces you  to actually come up with an example sentence  

by using a new piece of vocabulary and it's useful  because this way you will be memorizing vocabulary  

in context and this is how you'll be able to use  it later because if you just learn a word like  

catfishing from the podcast you're like okay  catfishing that's it like it's not enough to  

be able to explain what this word means you also  have to be able to use it because English and not  

just English languages language learning is all  about communication it's all about connecting to  

new people and building all of those meaningful  connections so let's look at the word catfishing  

catfishing is basically the act of creating a  false identity to lure people into relationships  

either friendships or romantic relationships  the catfish refers to the Predator who creates  

this false identity online for example I don't  like creating dating profiles because I'm afraid  

of getting catfished and let me give you one more  example with the expression walking a thin line so  

to walk a thin line line basically means to find  some kind of balance between two opposing views  

or attitudes not to annoy both of them like kind  of like a compromise between these two opposing  

parties for example as a new parent you always  have to walk a fine line between protecting your  

kid from all the dangers of the outside world and  becoming an overprotective helicopter parent and  

I feel like if you're a new parent or a parent  you will definitely agree with me here so yeah  

that's basically a simple three-step English  learning daily routine all you have to do is  

just follow this routine and I will guarantee you  guys that if you do it every single day for at  

least a month you will see how much your English  have improved I'm pretty sure this is the plan I  

am following right now when learning Spanish and  guys just being able to listen to so much Spanish  

or English or any other language you're learning  will improve your confidence first of all because  

why are so many people not confident because  they never interact with native speakers and  

even by listening to a lot of English watching  videos you know reading books out loud listening  

to audiobooks and also listening to podcasts will  improve your confidence and your fluency again if
