Meaning of MAN - A Really Short English Lesson with Subtitles

So you might look at this word and think that I picked a really easy word for today.

Maybe you already know what "man" means, that you know, I'm a man and you're familiar with

that definition of the word.

But what I wanted to talk about today is we also use the word "man" as an expression - an

expression of excitement or delight.

So we could say something like, "Man that is a really nice car!"

You could say something like, "Man I really enjoyed that movie!"

So we use it at the beginning of a sentence to kind of express something that we were

excited about or something that we were delighted to see.

So you could say things like, "Man I really love this song!" or "Man that was just a great

bowl of ice cream that I just ate!"
